







GLENDALE –Senator Carol Liu will honor five “Women of the Year” for outstanding accomplishments in the 25th Senate District on Friday (March 15, 2013).
Sen. Liu represents about 930,000 people in the 25th Senate District, which includes Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose, Altadena, San Marino, South Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Duarte, San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, Glendora, and Upland.
The Senate each year asks legislators to honor Women of the Year who have made unique and often unsung contributions to enhance the quality of life for others in each of the state’s 40 Senate Districts
Lora Mancini, San Dimas. Lora is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Autism Youth Sports League (AYSL), a community-based sports socialization program open to all children with autism spectrum disorders. The idea for the organization stemmed from Lora’s desire to find a sports program that would benefit her autistic son. AYSL became the first sports league in California that offers traditional sports programs to these children. Lora is recognized for her innovation, commitment, and advocacy.
